Day 5: We had a family night w/ our small group, and while we had plenty of power foods surrounding us, there was also temptation in full force.. Avanti’s gondolas, s’mores fresh off the campfire, and a delicious looking cool whip butter-finger dessert. My friend & I enjoyed lots of veggies, guacamole, olives, and lettuce wrapped avocado egg salad. I would have loved to have had the other food items, but I was SO proud of myself for keeping my will power in check.
Day 6: This Saturday evening we went to dinner w/ family & friends.. I checked the menu ahead of time so I would have an idea of what I would order. The hardest part of our dinner out was not ordering a cocktail to enjoy! My dinner of steak, asparagus, and a seasonal vegetable mix was delicious. Energy this day was back to normal, and I felt great.
Day 7: I was a bit tired, however I’ll chalk that up to not getting home until late from being w/ my family. No cravings though. We grilled for dinner, so I enjoyed a great pork filet w/ broccoli. I’m really surprised how much my cravings for sweet have decreased. The scale showed down 3lbs today!
Day 8: Felt back to normal (yes, I use that term loosely).. Starting to get a little bored w/ the same snack foods, but a trip to the grocery store for some new variety will hopefully help.
