Two years since we were blessed by the birth of our third child, Rowen… All 6lbs 14oz & 20in of this silly, sweet, loving, spunky little boy. I can’t help but think back to my pregnancy w/ him, and going into pre-term labor at 17 weeks.. Scary stuff! Thankfully, by God’s grace, we made it until 36w 6d before we were to meet our little guy. At two years old, while it’s flown by, we really can’t imagine our lives w/out him. Every day my heart swells w/ love for him.
- balls of every variety
- being silly
- playing w/ his sisters
- daddy tossing him into the air
One of Rowen’s two year pics.. You can see more here:
We started out the morning by having donuts (a special treat), and two candles to blow out;
See this pose? My sister taught him that one! It’s the ending of the “Gangnam Style” song;
This was so sweet… Since Kaylor leaves so early to catch the bus, she left a message for Rowen to see when he woke up;
Grandma Banana (Anna) happened to be passing through town and stayed the night, so she was around to wish Rowen a happy birthday too;
Daddy was flying out to Dallas later this day, so we opened a few gifts after breakfast so that he could see too;
And even one made by Ashlyn.. (I just noticed.. see his toe popping out of his jammies?! Haha!)Then per request, the kids had some PlayDough time;
After lunch we headed to a favorite place of Rowen’s… Farm & Fleet! For those of you not in our area, it’s a farm/outdoor supply type of store. There he got to pick out a couple of small tractors;
Littlest sister had to give him extra hugs & kisses, since it was his birthday and all;
A couple of days following, we had his birthday party… He was SO excited! It was tractor themed, just what he likes 🙂 We had “hay bales” (rice crispie treats), “pigs in a blanket” (hotdogs in crescent rolls), lemonade, pretzels, and cupcakes making “Rowen’s Farm”..
My father, being a former farmer, had to ask me what exactly was growing on Rowen’s farm… I said beans and overgrown squash. He then reprimanded me because it was a corn head on the combine.. Whoops! lol
This is my father-in-law making Rowen’s John Deere pedals reachable for his little legs..
Grandma Fofo & Ashlyn being silly, and telling each other messages through a cardboard tube;
Time to open gifts!
This is how we’re supposed to eat cupcakes, right?!?
My youngest brother & my dad putting together Rowen’s new Harley riding toy;
Happy 2nd birthday, Rowen Zane.. WE LOVE YOU!
