  • Welcome!…

    to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

    I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

One of Our Thanksgivings

We were so thankful to spend time w/ family today to celebrate Thanksgiving together.. We had to miss out on one family dinner, due to the stomach bug hitting our house, so the kids were excited to see everyone today.  Bless their hearts, after getting sick on Thursday, Kaylor says, “oh mom, I think it was what I ate”, and Ashlyn says, “Mommy, I think I just drank milk too fast”.. Neither wanted to admit that it was a stomach flu, so that we could still go to Thanksgiving dinner, because they didn’t want to miss it.  We still, however made the most of our day on Thursday, even while feeling icky, we laid around and watched movies together..

Thankfully today, we were able to share in a yummy meal (as well as keep it all down.. lol), and family time.  My cousin’s son (age 5) said the best prayer before our meal.. So cute!  We had lots of yummy foods, relaxed together, the kids played dress-up, and lots of laughter.

Mamaw & Kaylor as princesses;
Mylie sharing her, ah hem’, “talent” of belching the alphabet w/ us;
Ashlyn & Rowen LOVED listening to my cousin Kim tell them all about what’s in her medical bag, and playing doctor.  Ashlyn was on cloud 9 when Kim gave her gauze & a foam splint to bring home.  She wanted to wear them on her arm to bed!
My Aunt Vicki & Uncle Ivan… Love them!
Rowen sure wasn’t loved on, was he?  😉

I do believe that the highlight of our family time was everyone taking pictures of each other w/ apps, and making ourselves old & aged, and morphed into complete silliness.  We were laughing until we cried!  Yep, we’re easily entertained.  I’m almost certain that there are now two celebrity look-alikes that I could pull off for Halloween.. Top row, 4th one over, Joan Rivers… Or possibly bottom row, 4th one over, Elvira.
