  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), wife, mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

My Legacy…

I watched this episode of Oprah, featuring a mother who was diagnosed w/ breast cancer, and immediately she decided to start recording messages and videos to her young daughter.  Things she knew there would be a lot of things that she would never get the chance to have conversations w/ her daughter about as she grew up.  It deeply touched my heart.  I watched through tears as this mother pushed on, knowing that her precious time w/ her daughter was quickly slipping away.

One of the reasons I document my thoughts (even silly as they may be) and try keeping updates on what our family has been up to on this blog, is so that one day, my children can look back to any point in time that they wish and have a glimpse from my perspective. My children are my world.  Looking into to their eyes, and feeling their warm hugs reminds me on a daily basis, of God’s grace.  Regardless of what is going on, there’s not a moment of time that doesn’t stand still when I hold them in my arms.

To my children,
God blessed me w/ you!  It’s truly by His grace, that I have you in my life, and I’m honored to be your mommy.  I hope to raise you all as respectful, caring, passionate, and Christ following individuals.  I envision so many great things for your lives, and it humbles me to see your personalities shine.  I’m so very proud.  I’ve loved you from the very first moment you were in my tummy, or, as we like to say “to the moon and back”.  Always know that you are loved beyond what words can explain!  Thank you for teaching me how it feels to love endlessly, and unconditionally.

That episode of Oprah always draws tears from my soul, even if I simply think about it – Peyton is a lucky girl to have had such a brave woman for her mother! Your children are, too, my friend!! XO
