  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

Another Bridgetism…

In true fashion, I didn’t really think we’d get through an event as monumental as childbirth w/out some sort of “bridgetism” happening.. What would be the fun in that anyhow?  😉

If you’ve been over to the “Rated PG” blog, you might have read Rowen’s birth story..  Since we really thought we’d be heading home after some observation at the hospital, when the nurse had me strip down & put on a gown, I just left my bra on.  Hey, when you’re 9 1/2 months pregnant, having those extra-weighted items on top isn’t the most comfortable to let them free.. lol  I didn’t think about it again until after they decided to admit me, and had already started the Pitocin drip.  As soon as the nurse left I said, “Erik!  Come help me get this bra off so I don’t get in trouble!”  So he comes over to help and we get one of my arms out, no biggie, and then realize that my other arm is completely attached and tied to all the tubes & such for the ivs.. Ack!  Needless to say, there was no way to get it off because of those.. SO, when the nurse returned I had to fess up, and she helped us weave it through the tubes & whatnot as far as it would go, and well, where you see it below is where it remained throughout the remainder of labor, delivery, as well as our family coming in to the room..  It definitely got many strange looks & lots of laughs.. Well, as I always say… What can you do but laugh! 🙂
