I love sharing new recipes that I try for my family, and I love sharing them here too… I thought I would also start sharing our weekly menu. There are so many great reasons that I have loved menu planning. I too for quite some time faced the dreaded wondering around the kitchen at the last minute, going “shoot, what in the world am I gonna fix tonight?!?” I always felt dissatisfied w/ the limited choices, and pressure to provide a great meal for my family. So, I’ve stopped! I no longer worry about having time to make something healthy.. I also love that w/ menu planning I know exactly what I need to get at the grocery store in order to make the meals I have planned. Another “I too” have been one of those that wonder around the store looking for items to “jump” at me that I should make for dinners for the upcoming week. I found that I always overspent, and still ended up missing this or that for X meal I had in mind..
My final thoughts? Give menu planning a try! I promise you, most importantly it will take off a bit of the overwhelming feeling you may go through on a daily basis.. It has for me 🙂
Monday: Fuss Free Ravioli & Cheese bake Side: fresh green beans This was fantastic! I will definitely be putting this on regular rotation.. The flavor was delicious, and the whole family loved it!
Tuesday: CrockPot Rotisserie-Style Chicken Recipe Side: carrots & potatoes (also in crockpot) Made this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was a bit leery of how moist it would be w/out the skin to “hold in” the juices, but wow, I was wrong! Hubby said it was the best crockpot chicken I’d made to date.. I’m gonna take that as a big SCORE! lol
Saturday: Mexican fajitas (take out) this will be our splurge night.. We love Los Portrillos!
Sunday: leftover corny chili
