Ah.. the closing of a great weekend! I truly love the weekends, when my hubby is home w/ the girls & I.. Even if we’re running around & such, I still love the weekends w/ my family..
Friday night Kaylor had a friend over.. I absolutely love hearing their endless giggles w/ the fun that they’re having.. She is having so much fun at this age w/ her friends.. She also made a new friend tonight in our backyard! A new family that moved in not too long ago… K informs me that this girl is in 8th grade and is cool. They were jumping on the neighbors trampoline together.. Oh to be a kid… I might have to sneak over there and have some bouncing fun myself! haha
Saturday morning I met up w/ a photographer for chit chat. Super nice guy, and I really enjoyed our conversation. Then I had a session w/ repeat clients; a now 3 year old, and 1 year old twins.. Let’s just say I got a workout during our session time.. I can only imagine how their mama does it every day 😉 Later in the afternoon, I then met up w/ another photographer in the area and checked out his studio & commercial space.. I’m considering subleasing w/ him and also some other big changes for the photog business.. I’m really exciting about what the future holds! Then I got swing by the action of Kaylor’s Girl Scout booth selling cookies.. It was a big success! I am sooo so proud of the way this little gal takes charge & puts her heart into things. She was so hysterical & Erik & I and the other moms were cracking up, big time. Between the “Cookies! Cookies! Get your yummy cookies!” Or, “Samples, free samples, come try our samples!” To someone trying a sample and saying, “Okay, I’ll take some of those” & K replies, “Well sorry, we’re outta those, but we’re REALLY pushing the carmel delights & the peanut butter patties!”.. haha… Gotta love this kid. She is definitely her daddy’s daughter.. Sales guru, all the way!
When the girls finished up, K, daddy & I stopped for a quick early dinner.. Mexican style, of course! I think K really enjoyed it being just the 3 of us.. Miss A was hanging out w/ Mamaw at our house for a couple of hours.. One thing that I can say, as a mother myself, is that I’m truly realizing just how much my own mother means to me. Her & I are not the mushy gushy type, but she really does mean the world to me. And to my husband & girls too. Mom, not sure what we’d ever do w/out ya! Love you lots!
Okay, much more work to do before heading to bed, and it’s 20 til midnight.. oye! Nite’!
