Boy, February is really flying by! Getting closer & closer to spring.. yay! Definitely looking forward to that. Kaylor is super excited for me to be able to walk her to school every day and walk home w/ her.. Me too!
Let’s see.. last week was pretty routine for us.. We’re still working on figuring out & getting familiar w/ Ashlyn’s schedule. She’s doing super well following a feed, wake, sleep schedule. All in all, she really is a happy baby.. We do a little tummy time every day and she is trying to be a big girl lifting her head up lots & looking around to build her strong neck muscles.. The only time she is a little fussy is in between that last awake period and time for bed.. She seems to try holding on to staying awake once she is tired.. She gets lots of cuddling from daddy though, during those times, so maybe she’s just pulling his leg.. lol.. Oh, and she has got to be the squeakiest & noisy baby I’ve ever known! It constantly cracks us up.. Doesn’t matter if she’s awake, nursing, playing, sleeping, she’s always grunting or squeaking..
Kaylor & I had a “date night” on Saturday.. It was the first time I’ve really been out of the house for longer than 15/20 mins. w/out miss A. We tried a bottle for the very first time Sat. afternoon and it went over pretty well. At first she had that “what the heck is this” look, but then did actually suck on it for a couple of minutes to drink some of the milk. (still breastmilk, so at least it tasted the same to her.. just a different means of getting it.. haha).. So Kaylor & I headed out knowing that daddy could *possibly* feed sissy if he needed to. And we were only 2 mins. away at her school. Every year, K’s school does a carnival, so her & I went and had dinner then played some games.. She also had her face painted as a tiger… (I think).. It was fun to spend time just her & I, and I think she enjoyed it.. This week, I’d like to take her to a community college cosmetology school, where they do kids’ manicures for only $5.. We’ll do some super girly time there =)
It’s still weird to think that I’m now a SAHM.. I know I’d still be home w/ Ash even if I were going back to work full-time, but I still feel the transition of being in the corporate world for 9 years, and now to not be.. If anyone wants to call me during the day for some adult conversation, feel free! lol..
