  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

Happy Veteran’s Day… Some of you might be working today, or off, but either way, don’t forget to take a moment and say a few thankful prayers for all those hard working men & women out there who have fought & are still fighting for our country!..

… My late night working habits are definitely starting to get the best of me! Last night was about 12:20am when my head finally hit the pillow.. and up at 6am!.. This pregnant gal is starting to wear out.. lol..

Our weekend was very productive, so that is a good feeling.. Friday night I was supposed to have a session w/ two little boys, but they had to cancel due to the flu.. Definitely don’t want to risk the flu in our house.. I feel like I’m finally getting over this head cold.. Still have a little congestion, but no longer the head is gonna explode feeling.. Poor K though, she’s home sick from school today. She complained last night of not feeling the greatest, then woke up on her own this morning, complaining that her room was “way too hot”.. I felt her face & head and she was on fire.. 100.6 temp.. Luckily didn’t have meetings scheduled for today, so he can work from home on his laptop doing other things and stay w/ her..

Saturday I was able to finish up moving things into Kaylor’s new room.. She is beyond ecstatic for this new room.. I think it turned out really cute. I got her curtain hung and things like that. Aside from a tiny spot of brown paint on the ceiling, I think it’s complete! I also spent all day Saturday clearing out the rest of things in her old room.. Erik helped me take her old bed downstairs to put in the guest room (now there are a Queen & Full in the guest room, if anyone wants to come & stay w/ us!) On Sunday my mom came over and helped me paint that room.. Bye-bye bright, lime-ish green!.. It’s now the neutral tannish/grayish color that is throughout our living room, and hallway.. Later this week, I will start clearing out the old computer room that will then become the nursery so that I can get started on baby girl’s room..

I had a session last night w/ the 2 week old newborn that I did maternity pics for, and the hospital session.. I will be blogging about that soon on the Imaginate blog too! Seeing her & working w/ her makes me all that much more excited to meet our little one.. Not too much longer!.. I’ve also got a session tonight w/ a new family, and another tomorrow night, w/ another new family.. This week is going to go by rather quickly, w/ the way my schedule looks.. Hopefully I can get everything checked off that needs to be done! Anyone want to be my assistant? Hehe..

Small vent.. Do you ever cross paths w/ people in your life that just CANNOT be satisfied.. No matter what you do, they complain, aren’t happy w/ something, etc.? This seems to have been the week for that.. Must be the weather.. haha.. Nuff said!
