A couple of months ago, I had mentioned the unexpected news of Erik’s cousin being diagnosed w/ cancer.. Well, Jason has come a long way in his fight against kidney & brain cancer, and the family has put together two benefits in his honor.. One was in
We had a nice weekend.. Friday night Kaylor & her friend had a great time at the HSM 3 movie… I didn’t tell her that we were going to pick up her friend, pizza then go to the movie.. She was surprised & excited, to say the least! And daddy was a good sport.. he went along w/ it.. I explained that his world of girly-ness has only just begun!

Busy Saturday for me… I had a family of 11 for portraits (some outdoors, some in studio).. Then portraits at 1pm, and another session at 4pm.. Lots of pictures, but I love it!.. Also booked another wedding on Friday.. My 2009 dates are filling up quickly!..
While I was working on Saturday morning since Erik & Kaylor were going to be out & about, I told Erik about a free event going on in town, in which Kaylor could get her finger prints digitally taken, picture on file, etc. They told me that they were interviewed by a lady w/ the paper and sure enough, they “made the paper” as Kaylor says.. She was SOOOooo tickled yesterday morning to show daddy the article! Then she kept cheering, “I made the paper! I made the paper!”… Haha.. First little bout of stardom and the kid is crazy! Hehe.. Erik was laughing at getting busted for joking around about his wife.. You’d think he’d know better that it would be printed? Lol.. Here’s there part in the article:
Kaylor Barnlund, 7, said it was “pretty neat” to watch her prints come up on Rauch’s computer. Her dad, Erik Barnlund of Normal, was among the more than 50 parents waiting in line about an hour after the program started.
“We came out here, first, because my wife told me to do this,” Barnlund said. “And we wanted to do this to be prepared.”
Yesterday Erik & I are registered for baby stuff! It was fun, but it’s definitely a learning experience for Erik.. I sometimes forget that he has never really been around babies.. That means no diapers, no feeding experience, etc. The next few months are going to be interesting.. (bwaahhaaa.. I’m thinking poopy diapers, galore!)
Starting to get a bit chilly in our parts!… They are saying a low of 24 degrees tonight.. Eeek! I’m not even certain I’ve got a coat that I can zip up for this winter yet! Eek!
