  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

Thursday, October 9th…

So I’m taking up something that another blogger pal does, 10 on Thursday!.. (Her’s is actually 10 on Tuesday, but, well, ya know!) (*Thanks for the push to do the 10 on Tuesday, er Thursday, Lyndsay! =)* )

1-Kaylor is signed up now for Girl Scouts! We’re both super excited about it, and her first meeting is in a couple of weeks.. Brown vest & patches, here she comes! I was never a girl scout growing up, but from what I’ve looked into and learned so far, it’s definitely a great opportunity for building strong values, character, and leadership skills..

2-So it seems as if ya can’t ever go too long w/ things running smoothly.. I’m at lunch yesterday and I get a phone call from Kaylor’s school.. Everytime you see the school calling, if you’re like me, you’re going, oh no, what now & praying your child is not hurt, sick, etc. It was the nurse and Kaylor was in her office, w/ hives.. Apparently she was sitting next to a child at lunchtime, who had colored marshmallows, and it was enough to get a reaction from her body.. We haven’t had an incident of this since last December when she ate some and completely broke out. This time it was not nearly as bad, as her face only had a couple spots, where last night she was covered.. it does however, confirm the diagnosis of being allergic to them. Not regular marshmallows, just dyed ones.. Strange that no other treats, coolaid, etc. bother her.. So, off to her school I fly, after picking up some Benadryl.. Poor thing was “Sooooo itchy” as she kept telling me..

3-Hubby’s open house/grand opening for Mavidea is tonight.. They have been working their tails off to get their office ready from the construction zone they had going on. I asked if he needed me to make anything, or fix anything.. I was told “Honey, just look pretty”.. Um.. hm.. yeah, I’ll get right on that one!.. hah.. Hopefully they’ll have a good turnout.. I know he’s been looking forward to it. Oh, and one lucky drawing winner will receive a gift certificate from Imaginate Photography for a free portrait session =)

4- Kaylor’s open house at school is tonight as well.. We get to meet her teacher, see her class room, all that fun stuff!

5-I had my hair redone last night… I had it dyed a tad darker 2 weeks ago, w/ blonde highlights put back in, but it faded super quickly… It’s now a shade even darker than that.. I like it 🙂

6- Last weekend we ran some errands, Kaylor went w/ mom to a fall festival, then all 3 of us headed to this farm w/ a pumpkin patch, rabbits, a playground made of bales of hay.. good times.. The more and more I’m loving fall! Think we can extend it until say.. oh, March? lol.. Yeah, yeah, wishful thinking..

7- T.V.. I’ve been missing all my favorite new shows! Thank goodness for DVR’ing.. Knowing I have some fun stuff to catch up on, gets me giddy!

8- Had a belly check up today! More later tonight on the Rated PG blog!

9- Jimmy Johns… hadn’t had their sandwhiches in years and hubby got me hooked again… yum!

10- Um… I’m struggling for a 10th item.. Can I free pass since I’m new at this? lol..

**Edited.. thought of one more!.. Have you guys seen the SNL skits of Tina Faye’s impressions of Sara Palin? I think the most humorous part about the one, is that she’s using the same interview dialogue that really took place! Check it out.. You’ll get a chuckle!
