So after much debating, we finally broke down and have a new member of our family… No, no, not another Persian kitten (oye!)… Mr. Wii! Erik & I have been talking for months about whether of not to get one, and w/ Kaylor’s b-day coming up shortly, we let her decide if she would like this to be part of her birthday gifts.. Fun for the whole family! Mr. Wii has been doing just that! We have been bowling, golfing, tennis, baseball, Mario carting our hearts away… Kaylor has gotten really good at bowling.. She even puts a nice spin & curve into her “roll”… It’s definitely a good thing they attach that handy little wrist band to the remotes.. Now, it doesn’t do much for the ceiling fan taking a beating, but it sure does spare our tv and windows! haha.. Welcome, Mr. Wii… we are enjoying your company and then some! =)
Other randomness.. Do you ever lose something and it just makes you sick over it? Well, that was me on Monday.. I got home late Sunday night after shooting the wedding, and I specifically remembered looking at my keys sitting “somewhere” and thought to myself, “Ohhh I need to go hang those up, so I don’t forget where they are”… Well, you can guess what happened.. Yep. I didn’t do it. Wouldn’t you know, come yesterday, time to run to the grocery store before the cookout, sure enough, no keys. I searched high & low for that “somewhere” place.. Even to the point, where I was checking the compartments in the fridge. Hey, it wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve found random things that belong in the fridge… Should I even be admitting that? lol.. Anyhow, after hours, the keys were FINALLY found! Right under the computer keyboard.. Right under my nose, and no clue..
This is the last week of school for Kaylor… Thursday is a “play day” and Friday they go for just an hour.. I think she’s excited for summer, however she has informed me that YMCA camp can be boring. Hmf.. How can swimming every day, field trips, crafts, games, other kids, and anything else fun you can think of be boring.. I’m sure that will change! She had a great time last year.. I am just trying to accept the fact that I am soon to have a 2nd grader.. sounds so grown!
I have been researching and pricing out a trip for the summer to Disney World. We have decided that if it doesn’t happen this year, we might not have the chance again for a couple/few more.. SOooo, I’m looking at package deals for flight, hotel & park hopper tickets.. Anyone have recommendations on places to stay?? I know that Kaylor will be beyond thrilled to go, but honestly the more I research for the trip, the more giddy I get about it too.. I mean, after all, it IS the happiest place on earth, right! =)
