Catching up on several things tonight…
Apparently if you don’t refrigerate a sandwich that you intend on eating for your lunch… Don’t eat it! Yes, this can indeed and potentially will lead to food poisoning… Oye. Lesson learned.. Do you ever have those moments where you’re going “What in the world is going on?!?!… Then the thought hits you… Oohhhh no… I didn’t… Yep, you suuuuure did”.. Those were my thoughts as the realization (confirmed by both husband and the OSF nurse) that I had a touch of food poisoning.. Who knew, right? For anyone else who has ever had it… ohhhh my.. And here I thought I was just nauseated & had that “I really could throw up at any given second” feeling because it was a migraine.. hehe.. Anyyyyyway, feeling much better now! Not quite 100%, but getting there.. Poor Kaylor mostly helped out mommy while she was sick instead of having the fun girl time we had planned on.. She was pretty darn sweet taking care of me though!.. I think that calls for a sweet treat like icecream =)
My loves… I LOVE Barnes & Noble.. I love books, I love the site of brand new books everywhere, all around, I love the ambiance of knoweledge mixed with relaxation.. I just love that place!.. And speaking of books, Scott Kelby.. Definitely one of my favorite writers for learning tool type books..
On to something else that I am in love w/ right now.. The show Brothers & Sisters! I’ve always heard people talking about the show and wasn’t quite sure what exactly it as about… Soooo I decided to rent Season 1 and watch it. (This is my secret hobby while I’m folding laundry.. I catch up on shows from the dvr or watch parts of a dvd)..Anyway, I’m absolutely in love w/ this show. The writers have created such an amazing cast of characters that really do make you feel like they are true people that exist. And of course the actors/actresses do their fine parts w/ talent as well. I’ve even got Erik hooked on it, and he’s not a huge fan of many tv shows.. So badly hooked that he even ventured out in the frigid cold to pick up discs 3 & 4.. hehe… Sucka! 😛
My girl.. I cannot believe how quickly they are learning and advancing in 1st grade. Although I’m not sure I would really recall from my grade school days, but it just seems like she’s reading & spelling so much at 6 years old. Yes, this could very well turn into a mommy brag, but in all honesty, I think it’s just the teaching styles today.. She brings home so many books that fit her reading levels perfectly and I truly think the more confidence she builds by being able to have a challenge but at the same time be reading books with very little help, encourages her even more.. Props to our educational staff!
Had a nice sisters’ night Saturday.. Ya know, there’s just something about spending time with those girls that no matter how old we get, it’s always just plain FUN. Plenty of laughter, sometimes tears, sometimes bickering, but always fun and most importanly always strengthening. Not sure what I would do w/out you girls in my life!..
Also “in the news”.. I’ve been spending a lot of time working on the photography website.. I really hope to introduce it sometime next week, so be watching for the announcement… Now that it’s so close to being done, I’m absolutely stoked!!! Can ya tell?!?
Whelp, off to bed!…
