  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

Saturday, September 29th…

Whelp, married a week… so far, so good! haha.. Of course I’m sure everything is living easy when you’re in a place that serves fresh rum drinks, the sunshine is shining, and the ocean is sparkling, right?!..

Let’s see.. yesterday we went on a catamaran trip.. it was PHENOMENAL! We didn’t quite know what to expect and ooooohhh my goodness! It was so much fun! We boarded the boat, and gathered w/ our new friends on front of the boat on this net “seating” that was completley open to the water underneath of you.. The water was so blue that it was almost unbelievable… After boating out to our location for awhile, we then all gathered up our gear and went snorkeling… I freaked out a bit, wondering how we were going to be attached to the boat.. No problem, just swim around the boat! Haha… what?!?! SO we jumped off the top of the boat (also a bit freaky!) but the water was soooo warm, it was soon a-okay!… It was AMAZING to snorkel around the catamaran… What an experience. Definitely one of a lifetime! We saw coral, and some big florescent blue fish that Sabrina claimed was a butterfly fish.. haha… It was so much fun though… After snorkeling, we got back onto the boat (after even jumping off a couple of more times even!) and headed to Margaritaville… Much fun was had there as well.. I didn’t as I was monitoring my stomach, but Erik slid down the infamous 110 ft. slide there into the ocean… Then you swim out to these trampolines in the water!… (pictures to come!)… We hung out for a bit there, then boarded the catamaran and headed back to Montego Bay.. We got back to our hotel quickly changed clothes and headed back to our new friends’ hotel to have dinner… Somehow managed to go through several bottles of wine, and have a VERY nice dinner “
on the house” by the Ritz… good times!… Nothing like chillin’ (no pun intended.. haha) in a jacuzzi late into the night, laughing & enjoying good company!..

Today was fun as well… We got up this morning, grabbed a quick breakfast and into the mountains we headed… It was a hike in the bus to get up there, but the sights were non other than great along the way… Really got to see more of the culture of Jamaica, and it gives appreciation for the lifestyle and way of life here… We did something called the Canopy Tours … If you EVER get the chance to do these things while on vacation.. DO IT! Erik & I have done so many wonderful things here, that never in our lives will we get to do again… Simply awesome fun!.. Traversing through the forrest of bamboo in Jamaica is a must do…. Scary, but thrilling all the same! The guys are extremely helpful, and hyseterical.. They make your trip! Just bring bug spray and yes, you will get hot & sweaty… It is the jungle after all! haha… Such a fun time though… Check it out! (pictures to follow as well)

Well, we’re off to grab some grub and enjoy the rest of our time here… It’s coming to a close tomorrow as we are picked up at 2:30pm to catch our flight back to Chicago… It’s been amazing here.. My husband & I could not be closer as we head back to start a new chapter in this crazy journey… Much love, readers! Ya mon!!
