We got up this morning and headed to breakfast and then to meet the bus picking us up at 9:30 for the Dunn’s Falls day trip… What a blast! We made a few stops along the way, to shopping marts & crafts w/ handmade goods & such. Needless to say many of the vendors were extremely pushy.. but all in all, ya just get back on the bus and say “no problem”. .As is the Jamaican way!.. Then we stopped for lunch at little place in Ocho Rios overlooking the Carribean, then headed to the Dunn’s.. We started by taking steps down & down and down some more… When we got to the beach at the bottom we looked up into these rapids flowing down thinking, “how in the heck are we going to climb that?!?” We all had on wet shoes, so the rocks surprisingly were not too hard to grip, and we helped one another up the rocks. Just a little careful footing and up we went… We met a super fun couple on the bus, Sabrina & Brian, also married on Saturday, so we hung out w/ them on our venture up the waterfalls… Such a fun time, and definitely an experience like no other… If you ever get a chance to go, do it! Tonight we have dinner reservations at the Cajun restaurant.. we’ve heard the food is delicious.. Last night we ate at the steak house, which was enjoyable as well… Upon coming back to the resort, it’s raining about but no worries… no problem!. .. It’s been beautiful weather since we’ve been here, so hopefully it’s just a shower that will blow over by morning…
Just talked w/ my mom & Kaylor… both doing well, and were at hospital visiting my
grandma after just having knee surgery… I hear she’s doing well, so many thoughts & prayers for a quick recovery for her… love you, Grandma!..
Okay, sitting here in my robe w/ a towel on my head, so I must get ready for dinner before I have to hear it from my husband.. (hehe.. still crazy to be calling Erik my husband.. lol) Ya mon’!
