Wednesday, September 20th…

What’s new for today/this week… Kaylor had a doctors appointment this afternoon. Extremely good news.. Her heart tests looked great, and nothing stood out to her pediatrician from the cardiologists’ readings, that seemed to be of concern.. what a relief that was to hear! The poor girl did have to get 4 shots though 🙁 Mommy doesn’t do the greatest seeing her little girl in pain, so fortunately daddy was there for support. Obviously shots are extremely necessary, but dang, that sure doesn’t make it any easier on anyone! Kaylor was a trooper though, and only cried a little bit. She even got a DQ blizzard afterwards!

My job is heavily weighing on my mind tonight… Tomorrow I should find out about my job status. Whether I have one, or not. I’ve never in my 7 years of working, been in the predicament that I could potentially be given a severance package. It’s a scary feeling! Although I’ve been telling myself that what’s meant to be, will be, it will still be upsetting to hear that I was one of “the chosen ones” to be asked to leave my position. I feel like I’ve really invested all of my professional abilities into this position throughout the past 2 years. But, as a new friend of mine has reminded me, where there is an end, there is a beginning. Very good thought to keep in mind… Whatever He has in store for me, I will do my best to be accepting, and look at this situation as a positive opportunity to further myself.

I’ve also learned a few lessons during this time… Having Erik in my life, has definitely shown and taught me just what having a partner in life means. He is SUCH a daily inspiration and support system to me. He is constantly concerned with making the most of himself and building for our future. I’ve never been in a relationship in which the other person was as selfless as he is. I know that Kaylor & I are the top two priorities in his life, and to have someone that is 100% invested in striving to succeed for his family, is an incredible feeling.
