Well, I’m now only have one child for the next couple of days instead of two.. hehe.. Erik left tonight for Chicago for conferences. He will be home on Wednesday. Kaylor says tonight while I was giving her a bath, “Boy mommy, Erik’s going to be gone for 3 days?” to which I replied “yes”. She goes, “Man, 3 days is sure going to seem like FIVE!”… haha! She is too funny sometimes!
Friday night Erik & I headed up to Chicago for a White Sox game, and Kaylor enjoyed spending the night at Grandma’s. It took us 4 1/2 hours just to get there! Traffic was backed up horribly on I55, so it caused major delays. The Sox lost, unfortunately, but we still had a really fun time. It was nice to have a date night!
Cotts, one of the Sox’ pitchers went to ISU!:
Saturday we ran some errands around town. Then I met my mom to pick Kaylor up, so the three of us had lunch together. That evening we had a cookout with our friends that live on the street behind us. Literally we can see their house, and we drove over! Haha… not sure why, but that just struck me as funny. Kaylor played her little heart out with their 3 year old little boy, and slept until 10 am today! I couldn’t believe she slept that long! We made pancakes for breakfast and just hung around the house today. Very nice, considering we don’t get to stay home on the weekends too often!
Here are a few of my recent photos.. (our neighbor has beautiful flowers!):
So, after finishing up some laundry tonight and getting Kaylor to bed, I’m heading downstairs to walk for awhile on the treadmill…
