  • Welcome!…

to “A Step Inside”… our personal family blog, documenting the craziness of our every day life.. Sit back, enjoy, laugh, and share in the road we travel..

I'm Bridget.. A SAHM (stay at home mom), mother of 3, and a follower of Christ. I'm also a photographer, and passionate about life.. I hope to share that w/ you too! Life isn't always perfect, but it's perfectly created in His plan. I'm beyond thankful for God's grace and His many blessings!

Well, first off.. idiotic things definitely happen to me! lol.. (and if idiotic is not a word?.. it is now!)

So today at work… this woman that annoys me day after day. I’m sure she really is a nice person, but she is always VERY persistent on walking over hand written messages, because she thinks that will make us return a phone call quicker than transferring them to our vm. Now.. seriously? Not gonna happen.. but anyhow. She walks her eager as a beaver bum over to me and has a plastic sack w/ her. As she bends down and begins to inspect my boobs, I realize she’s sizing me up! Literally! She says… “Um.. not to be too personal, but what are you a 34 B? C?” I’m thinking, are you freaking kidding me!?!? So then she proceeds to show me what’s in her sack. Yep, you got it.. 2 bras! And not only was she offerring me two bras in the middle of our office, they were USED! Ha! I mean, yeah, sure you can wash them, but I barely even know the lady and she’s offering me her used over the shoulder boulder holders! Yikes!.. lol

Secondly.. me.. sharp objects.. NOT a good combination. My first incident happened around Halloween while carving pumpkins w/ Kaylor. My knife decided that it would try a little carving of my arm.. not a good deal. So tonight, I’ve got dinner going, and I decide I’m going to try and make my own yogurt (also not a good idea). I get out my new Black & Decker chopper (I highly recommend for others!) and I cut up an orange.. I tossed the pieces into the chopper, and after tossing the last piece in, I realized that part of the rind was still on one. So I put my hand in to scoop out the orange piece, and instant pain. I seriously thought I was going to pull my hand out w/ a missing finger tip! I sliced open the tip of my middle finger on my right hand. It hurt like heck!! I started bawling, and boy did it bleed. Finally, Erik the great came to the rescue and bandaged it up for me. Man, how stupid! I mean, it really is scary how quickly those things can happen. Note to self.. sticking your hand in the chopper, EVEN if the blade is not moving, is NOT a good idea.

Didn’t make too much progess on getting things put away tonight. Erik worked on the living room, and it looks really nice w/ the new color on the walls. Turned out better than I had expected! I did get Kaylor’s Easter goodies bought today. Er.. I mean, I saw what the EASTER BUNNY bought! lol Anyway, I got some really cute things for her that I think she’ll love!

Tomorrow she is in a program at school. She had to memorize, “Little Miss Muffett”, “Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater” and “Mary Mary quite Contrary”. She has done a really great job on doing so, too! I was surprised how quickly she learned them! Smart cookie I’ve got!

Ya know.. have you ever realized just how odd nursery rhymes really are? I mean seriously?! Peter Peter, pumpkin eater, had a wife and couldn’t keep her.. What does eating pumpkins have anything remotely CLOSE to doing w/ keeping his wife?! Haha! Okay, so maybe that’s just my take on it.. who knows..

A couple days ago I noticed a really pretty bush right off our sidewalk to the front entry way. After the rain Monday night, it really started to bring the buds out, and sure enough, today, there are beautiful little purple flowers all over the bush. I snapped this picture of one, and I’m really pleased w/ how it turned out!
