This HS senior needed just a few in-studio portraits done, as her aunt has been doing some outdoors for her.  This was a different approach to a senior session, but fun none the less.  Miss Kelli is quite the accomplished young lady, as you will see below from all of her awards.  I wish you the best, Kelli, I know you’ll do great in your future!

It was a pleasure to photograph Drew & meet his family.. I love how fun the seniors I work w/ are, and they are so relaxed in front of the camera.  I often forget I’m working!  Thank you for a great evening session, D family!

We had great weather for this session, and I was super impressed w/ how relaxed Ethan was.  He seemed right at home for his senior portrait session..   Did a great job, and it’s such a joy to work w/ these young adults.  Loved hearing about your plans for after high school, Ethan!  :)

I love working w/ HS Seniors and hearing about their future plans & goals..  It was great to see Christina & her mom again, as we had so much fun from her last session.  Such a natural in front of the camera, and toughed out being a bit chilly.. You go, girl!

I’ve said it before, but I really enjoy working w/ high school seniors..  I love getting to know their personalities, their future goals, what interests they have..  We had amazing weather, fabulous lighting, and a gorgeous location at the Bloomington Country Club for Ben’s senior pictures.  I was excited to meet Ben, as I’ve known is sweet mama for awhile now, as she is the owner/direction of Music Connections, which is a local Kindermusik location.  We’ve been members for a year now, and LOVE it!  Thanks for a great senior session, Ben & Katie!

This was part two of Emily’s highschool senior portraits..  I had just as much fun photographing her this time, as I did for her first round of pics..  I love seeing her & her family.. I had another great session w/ miss Analita for part two of her HS Senior portrait session (click here to see part 1).. To say that it was a tad warm during Miss Michelle’s senior portrait session is quite an understatement!  However, she was such a trooper and hung in there for me!  Regardless of the heat & humidity, I enjoyed Michelle, her mama, and sister too.. Thanks so much, ladies! =)

Miss Morgan, Miss Morgan.. This pretty lady holds a special place in my heart.  I have known her, her entire life & her family for most of mine.  Her mom is/has been my idle role model since I can remember, and I love her dearly.  She was my art teacher from grade school all the way through HS, and has always been an amazing and inspiring woman.  I was honored to get to do Morgan’s HS Senior pictures for her, and I’m sure she doesn’t even quite know the extent of how much she has touched my heart & a tremendous inspiration to not only myself, but many, many others.  In 2005 Morgan was diagnosed w/ medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumor in children.  Hearing the news of Morgan’s illness broke my heart.  I knew that the Lord would hold her & be w/ her, among her amazing family & friends as well.  I prayed & prayed for her healing, and God truly came through.  Miss Morgan, you are such an inspiration to me, and are an incredibly strong, sweet, warm, talented, and beautiful girl.  If you’d like to learn more about Morgan’s WON battle, please here or  visit this link.  And please, please, please take a moment to stop by & help support St. Jude Hospital..  Every penny counts, and what a blessing to have such an amazing place..  And thank YOU, Morgan for teaching me more than you will ever know… And also for a wonderful portrait session.. you rocked it!  Love you, sweetie & the rest of your family too!

Everyone loves a challenge right?  This year as the holidays are upon us, I challenge you to make it a wonderful holiday for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The holidays not only remind me of family, love, and kindness, but it also reminds me how thankful I am for our health and well being.  There are so many children that spend their holidays confined to a hospital, battling life threatening illnesses, and they need the holidays to be special too.  Let’s do what we can together, to make that happen!

WHAT: Here is your challenge.. With the new year comes updating my website, blog, etc.  Is there a portrait image that you absolutely LOVE and would love others to see?  Please help in this by submitting a favorite photo from your portrait session during 2009 to be featured.  Just send me an e-mail (bridget@imaginatephotography.com) w/ the image # and/or description of your portrait choice from your session and it will be entered into the contest.  (please one entry per client)

WHEN: Between December 1st- December 10th:  submit your photo choices!
Between December 12th-December 31st:  those submitted entries will be featured on the blog for voting

DETAILS: All sessions are encouraged!  (baby, children, family, wedding, engagement, hs senior, maternity…There will be separate voting categories for each of the entry subjects)  Once the voting begins, you are welcome to submit as many votes as you would like, for a $1 donation each vote.  Send your family, friends, co-workers.. they can all vote for your image!…  All proceeds will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital So, the more votes, the larger the donation we can make to help bring some holiday cheer to these children!

I had so much fun working w/ Miss A and her mama!  It was a bit chilly for A’s session, but she rocked it and rocked it well! =)  I love her sweet, energetic, and easy going personality.. You really shine, Miss A.. I also enjoyed chatting w/ her mom, who I actually photographed as a bridesmaid last summer.. which neither of us realized until she was flipping through my wedding site! lol.. I always approach each and every session I do not quite sure on what to expect.  Sometimes people say, “I’m really not a ‘picture’ person” and light up in front of the camera, etc.  When I met w/ this HS Senior and his mom, I was under the impression that M would be a quiet and shy sort of guy..  Unexpectedly, he had me cracking up w/ his sarcastic sense of humor and really made for a fun session.  Thanks for making me laugh, M! =)
