I’ve said it before, but I really enjoy working w/ high school seniors..  I love getting to know their personalities, their future goals, what interests they have..  We had amazing weather, fabulous lighting, and a gorgeous location at the Bloomington Country Club for Ben’s senior pictures.  I was excited to meet Ben, as I’ve known is sweet mama for awhile now, as she is the owner/direction of Music Connections, which is a local Kindermusik location.  We’ve been members for a year now, and LOVE it!  Thanks for a great senior session, Ben & Katie!

I had another great session w/ miss Analita for part two of her HS Senior portrait session (click here to see part 1).. To say that it was a tad warm during Miss Michelle’s senior portrait session is quite an understatement!  However, she was such a trooper and hung in there for me!  Regardless of the heat & humidity, I enjoyed Michelle, her mama, and sister too.. Thanks so much, ladies! =)

Miss Morgan, Miss Morgan.. This pretty lady holds a special place in my heart.  I have known her, her entire life & her family for most of mine.  Her mom is/has been my idle role model since I can remember, and I love her dearly.  She was my art teacher from grade school all the way through HS, and has always been an amazing and inspiring woman.  I was honored to get to do Morgan’s HS Senior pictures for her, and I’m sure she doesn’t even quite know the extent of how much she has touched my heart & a tremendous inspiration to not only myself, but many, many others.  In 2005 Morgan was diagnosed w/ medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumor in children.  Hearing the news of Morgan’s illness broke my heart.  I knew that the Lord would hold her & be w/ her, among her amazing family & friends as well.  I prayed & prayed for her healing, and God truly came through.  Miss Morgan, you are such an inspiration to me, and are an incredibly strong, sweet, warm, talented, and beautiful girl.  If you’d like to learn more about Morgan’s WON battle, please here or  visit this link.  And please, please, please take a moment to stop by & help support St. Jude Hospital..  Every penny counts, and what a blessing to have such an amazing place..  And thank YOU, Morgan for teaching me more than you will ever know… And also for a wonderful portrait session.. you rocked it!  Love you, sweetie & the rest of your family too!

Meet miss Erika, one of my Imaginate Reps.  She was so much fun to work w/ and has THE most infectious laugh I’ve ever heard.  It definitely kept me laughing, and I’m sure she would have laughed even harder, had the strap from my back pocket really had taken me down instead of “almost”.. Everyone loves a challenge right?  This year as the holidays are upon us, I challenge you to make it a wonderful holiday for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The holidays not only remind me of family, love, and kindness, but it also reminds me how thankful I am for our health and well being.  There are so many children that spend their holidays confined to a hospital, battling life threatening illnesses, and they need the holidays to be special too.  Let’s do what we can together, to make that happen!

WHAT: Here is your challenge.. With the new year comes updating my website, blog, etc.  Is there a portrait image that you absolutely LOVE and would love others to see?  Please help in this by submitting a favorite photo from your portrait session during 2009 to be featured.  Just send me an e-mail (bridget@imaginatephotography.com) w/ the image # and/or description of your portrait choice from your session and it will be entered into the contest.  (please one entry per client)

WHEN: Between December 1st- December 10th:  submit your photo choices!
Between December 12th-December 31st:  those submitted entries will be featured on the blog for voting

DETAILS: All sessions are encouraged!  (baby, children, family, wedding, engagement, hs senior, maternity…There will be separate voting categories for each of the entry subjects)  Once the voting begins, you are welcome to submit as many votes as you would like, for a $1 donation each vote.  Send your family, friends, co-workers.. they can all vote for your image!…  All proceeds will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital So, the more votes, the larger the donation we can make to help bring some holiday cheer to these children!

Not only will I be in the STL area doing what I love, I also get to meet up w/ a military family that holds a special place in my heart.  I “met” Amy and her family 9 years ago.. Yes, NINE years ago online, and we have never met in person!  Amy was a member on a mommy forum that I joined in November of 2000 when we were both expecting our first children.  The board was an incredible source of knowledge, friendship, strength, and love for me, and Amy spent many a silly, late nights chatting it up while her husband was deployed.  I still talk to several of my “mommy board friends”, as I’m always referring to them as.  I can’t wait to share the images from Amy & her family’s session… Yay!

I met w/ Miss K, a friend of another HS Senior that I photographed recently, on the gorgeous Saturday morning.  She wasn’t too sure what to expect for her senior portraits, but I’d like to think that we captured her as “her”.. Hope you enjoy, Miss K =)

I’ve known Miss K and her family, for pretty much her entire life.. She has grown up to be a pleasant young lady, and I was excited to get to photograph this special time for her, as she is about to close her HS chapter of life, and venture into a new one..  It was great seeing you both, Miss K and Sandy! =)

Meet Mr. K..  He is another 2010 HS Senior Rep for Imaginate Photography and was a pleasure to work w/.  He really wanted to incorporate some items, places, etc. that were “him”.. My answer to that?  Of course!  I always encourage HS Seniors to do this, as I really think that it’s a great way to capture personality, hobbies, activities, etc.  So way to go, K     Thanks for your session & enjoy your sneak peek!
