Why choose Imaginate Photography over going to a chain portrait place?
Having my own children, I too have had to schedule appointments with standard portrait studios in the past.. I would cross my fingers and make the call, hoping that they could squeeze us in… Then once the time came, I would make sure my daughter was well fed, freshly changed, etc. and would whisper a small prayer that she would show others that she really was a super happy kid & give plenty of smiles for the camera.  Sometimes this was the case, but not the majority of the time.  Being forced to instantly make a connection w/ this newfound stranger in a strange place, who was trying to make her laugh in that short 20-25 minute time slot was typically a nightmare.  If it worked, great!  If not, it was “take what ya get” and on to the next customer. It was often such an overwhelming experience that I dreaded each & every single time!

With portraits done in the Imaginate Photography studio, your child(ren) are given time to warm up to myself and aren’t forced to immediately “perform” in front of the camera.  I love children and interacting w/ them, and children naturally take to myself as well.  Giving them the comfort of being in a relaxing atmosphere, and not pressed for time, really makes all the difference when capturing childrens’ natural expressions and smiles.
