This week I wasn’t quite sure exactly what direction this week’s macro Monday would hold… I stepped a bit outside of my “normal” comfort zone, and tried something new.. Would you believe that all of these images came from within my 8 year old daughter’s room? Yep! I’m loving the challenge of looking beyond, and seeing what I can come up w/. I’m really pleased w/ these, even if they are more abstract that what I’ve normally focused on. Let me know your thoughts too! Hope you had a great Monday!

When ordering portraits, something mentioned quite often is, “I’d love to know more about displaying these images!” So, after looking around the web, I decided to pull together some of my favorite ways to do so. There are really a lot of fun, creative, and sometimes even thrifty ways to go about displaying your treasured images. I hope these ideas give you a spark of encouragement to try some new options 
This is a great way to test out your arrangement w/out the commitment of putting holes in the wall… (I *could* be speaking from experience here, just ask my husband.. lol)

I was looking forward to the session w/ these cousins, although I knew w/ ages 5 weeks to 7 years old, it may be a bit of a challenge. We had to make a last minute change and set up indoors due to the weather, but all in all I would call it a success! Thank you for having me, and so great to see you all again!
I’m absolutely loving putting myself to the Macro Monday challenge! Probably a bit TOO much.. haha While I absolutely adore photographing all the sweet people I meet, there is something so freeing about macro photography. It’s just me & my camera, and the possibilities are endless. I often times even go back and shoot the same subjects over and over, because each & every time I see it from a different view and discover completely different attributes. Happy Monday!
I just realized that I had never shared sweet baby M’s birth w/ you all.. (w/ mommy’s permission, of course)
This was such an amazing, incredible experience. I had never witnessed a birth before, and it was truly a miracle. Through tears of joy, I snapped away, in hopes of capturing every detail for them to remember forever. I still tear up watching the slideshow, and take myself back to that day when she arrived into the world. I also love this slideshow & images because it shows that the raw emotion of a birth can be captured, while still being respectful and non-graphic.. Thank you again, B family, for truly touching my heart w/ the opportunity to photograph M’s birth..
