From the scenery in this portrait session, it’s apparent that it wasn’t done in the last few weeks ;)   I had to wait until after the holidays to post here on the blog, however because this family ordered a gorgeous float wrap as a gift for their parents.  Of which I’m told was a huge hit, and they loved it.. yay!  These siblings and their spouses rocked it, and it was a pleasure being part of capturing their portrait gift needs.. Thanks again, gang!

I wasn’t able to get shots of the beautiful float wrap this family ordered, but here are some of the 10×20 storyboard that was also a gift… I love it!

When I was contacted to be the wedding photographer for this wedding, I was really honored & excited for this couple.  The beautiful bride has been a family friend of my husbands for as long as he can remember.  Such a great, inviting, and fun family and the entire wedding day was every bit of that as well.  Thank you, Bahman & Debbie, and I continue to wish you a lifetime of love & happiness =)

This was a lot of fun for the guests & to watch.. A wedding tradition in which sugar cubes are rubbed together over the couple to wish them a sweet life together..

I’d like to welcome baby A to the world & to the Imaginate Photography’s Baby’s 1st Year plan..  I’m almost certain that this little guy had a pep talk from Grandma before his portrait session ;)   After a changing & a little feeding, he was an absolute sleeping angel.  I loved baby A’s fuzzy newborn, wrinkly skin.. nothing like a newborn <3  So nice to meet you L family, and I look forward to watching your sweet man grow during his 1st year :)

I LOVE that his family wanted to incorporate the family’s love for CAT!

I was so excited when this sweet baby’s mommy contacted me to do another session w/ her.. They made a bit of  a drive down from up North, and baby E was in the happiest of spirits.  She has grown so much since her 3 month session.. She was practicing her serious face at first, but then came the big, toothy smiles that made the little wait worth while ;)   Thanks for coming down to see me, T girls!…and grandma too ;)

This little outfit was a surprise for Baby E’s daddy.. A former ISU football player… Go Redbirds! =)

Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting & photographing one of the sweetest little girls.  I knew before our session that Miss L has some special physical needs, so that I could be prepared for the session.  She was born w/ Spina Bifida.  From the moment I opened the door to meet Miss L and her mommy, she absolutely stole my heart.  She is truly an incredible, sweet, silly, funny, and amazing child.  We quickly forgot about her physical limitations, and were full of laughter, jokes, & silliness during her portrait session.  I have been so honored to be a part of capturing Miss L, and meeting her family.

At this time, I would like to ask for your kind generosity.  There is a local Spina Bifida group in Bloomington, IL that Miss L’s family has been able to a part of.  The Spina Bifida Association of IL (SBAIL) has been a great network of support for their family throughout their journey.  In February they are hosting an annual fundraiser, Candle Light Bowl.  If you are a local business owner or someone who would like to donate to this great organization, visit here for more information.  All money raised stays within the state organization and helps provide services such as financial help for braces, therapy, seminars, social events, scholarships, and family outreach.  Please find in your hearts to help support children like Miss L.

This was one of my favorites from Miss L’s session:

Alright men, this one’s for you!  It may seem like there’s still plenty of time to be thinking about what to get that special woman in your life for Valentine’s Day, but this year, you might just win the “my man is THE greatest award” for being ahead of the game, and I can help!  What if you surprised her w/ a gift that is thoughtful, special, as well as a lasting keepsake?

I can promise you 3 reasons why I can help you earn the greatest man award..

1.  Your wife/girlfriend will be so proud that you put such great thought into her gift!

2.  It could potentially save you when you’re in the “doghouse”.. All you have to say is, “Honey?  Remember those beautiful portraits of the kids I had done for you?”  Doghouse, no more!

3.  She’ll LOVE it!  (I definitely promise you this one)

So here’s how it works.  Simply contact me via e-mail/phone/facebook, and we will schedule your kids’ portrait session.  You then score bonus points up front, by telling her that you’re gonna let her have some “you time” and you’re taking the kids off her hands for a bit.  Then you swing by the portrait studio and we continue the process of making you the greatest man! Sound good?  Or if you would like to purchase a portrait session gift certificate, we can do that too!

And ladies, if your man needs a not so subtle hint, send him here to the blog for details! ;)
