In attempt to find a cardio routine that I actually enjoy doing (read, this girl is not a fan of working out..lol) I am giving swimming laps a whirl.
Day 1: I feel like it went well… I think, at least! lol Since I’m extremely amateur to the whole swimming world, I’ve been reading a lot about techniques, training, etc. A friend on facebook mentioned “Total Immersion” swimming, and after checking it out, it was fascinating. I’m learning a lot from watching videos about this technique.. After day 1, my right shoulder was bothering me a bit the next day, but not too badly. I also noticed that I need to work on and focus on breathing properly.
Day 2: I did this swim, during the middle of the day..(thank you, Court for watching my kiddos!!) Afterwards I felt GREAT! Felt a little sluggish mid-morning, but I definitely felt my energy levels soar after swimming this day.
Day 3: I feel like my breathing is becoming a little bit more controlled. Even felt like I was accomplishing more w/ each lap and stroke then I have been before. Kaylor went along w/ me this time, and “coached ” me along.. Loved that she enjoyed hanging out w/ me during this time.
