Rowen at 13 Months…

So much going on w/ our little guy these days… Two weekends ago he officially became a walker.  SO funny to watch him just take off, no direction in mind, just going.  I love watching him hold his arms up in the air to steady himself, and when he arrives at his destination, smiling so proudly.  Some tasks he loves doing; waving, clapping, blowing kisses, saying “no, no, no” while pointing his finger..

Just as of this week (all in the same day, even) he started climbing.  I mean, REALLY climbing.  The bay window bench, the bench at the end of our bed, and the air unit in our sun room.  Oh, and the couch…  Needless to say, I about had a heart attack several times on Monday.  He may be a great climber, but the getting down part?  Yeah, I don’t think he’s got that down quite yet.  haha  Such a BOY he is becoming, and proving that he is much busier than his sisters were at this age.  He just needs to be on the move at all times now.  I’m thinking I probably just need to switch to weights only at the gym.  Who needs to do cardio, when I’ve got plenty of that at home chasing our little man:)

Rowen, even if you are busier than ever, your mommy loves you SO much!  To the mooooooon & back!

Ten on Tuesday…

1.  Happy Valentine’s Day!  Hope you are spending yours w/ the ones you love the most!

2.  This is going to be a catch up picture post…  Ready?  Go!  :P

3.  Hard to believe on February 1st, the kids & I played outside for a few minutes at the park..

4.  I shared Ashlyn’s 3 year portraits on my business blog… She did great w/ her pictures!

5.  And here are here are Rowen’s 1 year portraits
6.  Note to self… Force my oldest daughter to be in more pictures!  She’s not a big fan… Well, unless she’s doing something absolutely ridiculous.. lol

7.  My sister & I have grown so close over this past year.. It brings me to tears when I think about her, how proud I am of her, and how much love I have for her.  Talk about a true blessing!  Her, my brother-in-law, and beautiful niece, fill my heart w/ so much joy.

8.  This is my super failed attempt to get all eyes towards me… Ah well, at least everyone is in the picture:P 9.  And myself w/ my niece, Liliana…  I love her beyond words!

10.  This was the sweetest thing to see… My brother-in-law’s mom is here visiting from Mexico City, and does not speak English.  It’s rather fascinating how much people really can communicate w/out words necessarily.  She is such a sweet, kind and warm woman.  Every time we see her, Kaylor loves trading language lessons.  They teach one another Spanish & English.  To hear their laughter throughout the evening doing this is absolutely priceless;

Ten on Tuesday 2/7…

1.  Sometimes the voice in my head (yes, I said THE voice, as in, there is only one:P)  has an Australian accent… hehe, aye mate?

2.  Speaking of The Voice… Did you see the show is back on?  We love that one!

3.  Ashlyn has been walking around saying “do you guys know how to post videos to FACEBOOK?”… from the tv commercial… silly girl.

4.  My husband hid Hershey’s bars from me last week… I have nooooo idea why?!?  ;)

5.  Oh my…. I think I have a public confession to make.  Last week Erik was teasing me about being addicted to online shopping.  Of course I replied w/ a gasp, “WHO, meeeeeee?!?”…

6.  You may have seen me post a status on Facebook about receiving a cute flower headband in the mail, and wanting to thank the anonymous person, as there was no note/card attached.  <eyes looking around innocently>  Um, yeah, I may have ordered that myself, and didn’t remember.  I came across the confirmation email in my inbox.  Whoops!  <see #5 above…lol>

7.  While getting ready for bed, we now pick out Ashlyn’s outfit for the next day, in hopes of eliminating a morning meltdown.  Sunday evening she wanted to go ahead and get dressed in it.  Reminded me of a time when I was a kid (grade school age, I believe) and I got completely dressed, down to my shoes and went to bed, because I was so excited for the next day.

8.  Quick snapshot of my boy & I…

9.  So begins the days of constantly repeating, “Ashlyn, we don’t say that”…. A few examples;  While driving home after her birthday party, we asked her what she would name her new puppy dog (stuffed toy one).. Her reply, “I’ll call him butthead”… 8/   sicko, butthead… those are the top two right now.. oye!

10.  What happened to our 50 degree weather.. I was starting to get used to not having a “winter”:)

Bridgetism… again…

Do you ever have moments in your life that just make you laugh? If you don’t you should!;) And if you’re not sure what a “Bridgetism” is… click here

Yesterday, after handing over packages to the postal carrier, I had this feeling that I had put the wrong label on one. I ran back inside, and sure enough, I had. I tried to catch him, but he was already down the street (thank goodness it was during the daytime, in which I believe most of my neighbors were at work).. I turned to go back inside, and had locked myself out of the house.. doh! Had to use the keypad and go through the garage. Thankfully, the mail truck is lacking an exhaust of some sort, because it is loud. Very loud. I was able to somewhat follow its location through the subdivision, and conveniently catch it on the way back through. Yes, the mailman did give me an incredibly strange look when I requested the original large package back so that I could change the labels.. Ah well.. lol

It’s very humbling to know that a Bridgetism is only a postage label away from happening =)
